There are many benefits to paying cash for a Wellington FL home, primarily you will not have a mortgage contingency when writing an offer, but will removing this contingency gives you leverage when negotiating the purchase price on a Wellington home?

  1. Hi Michelle, Even the banks don’t favor the cash deals like they used to. We see a lot of buyers expecting the same here as well–cash in-hand or not. It just won’t fly when the list to sales prices are in the 97% range, will it?!

  2. I’m impressed that 56% of the Wellington home buyers are paying cash! In Atlanta, it is closer to 30%. Usually “cash wins” when the home is in need renovation, but other than that, the highest bidder gets the property.
