Scott’s Place Park in Wellington Florida
Scott’s Place in Wellington Florida is a barrier-free playground that children of every ability can enjoy. This beautiful park was built by the community in 2010 and made possible in part to the generous donation of $250,000 made by Del & Barbara Williamson in honor of their son Scott, who they lost to cerebral palsy at the age of six.
Scott’s Place features accessible playground equipment throughout, including a large playset with wheelchair ramps, jungle gym, swings, and slides. A brick paver walkway leads to a “Reading Corner” where a chest filled with books is located. There is also a pavilion and benches throughout the park.
Outside the fence, at Scott’s Place, you’ll find a picnic area, which can be rented, and the Wellington Amphitheater.
